Zohran Mamdani’s election as Mayor of New York on November 4, 2025, was a stunning victory for progressive Democrats. It showed that even a self-identified socialist could win office during a powerful MAGA administration. Since then, several other progressives have secured unexpected victories, giving us renewed hope that we can flip both the House and the Senate to a Democratic majority in the midterms and put meaningful checks on President Trump’s power.

Across the country, progressive candidates are stepping forward to fight for working people, voting rights, healthcare, economic fairness, peace, labor rights, and accountable government.
